From Forfar to the world's most prestigious stages, a lifetime devoted to the Highland bagpipes.

Born and raised in Forfar, Angus, Neil developed a passion for the bagpipes from an early age. Determined to pursue his dream, he joined the prestigious Scots Guards, embarking on a distinguished military and musical career that would take him around the world.

During his service, Neil performed at some of the most prestigious ceremonial events and venues in the world, including Trooping the Colour, State Banquets at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House.

Among the many highlights of his career, one of Neil's most cherished memories is performing for a bride and groom during a week-long wedding celebration in the breathtaking surroundings of Switzerland.

Neil later joined the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, where he also served as a paratrooper. During his time in the Australian Army, he completed advanced piping courses and further refined his musical expertise.
